A Note from Angel
Happy New Year to you all!

Angel's Island Coffee is going to be 2 years old on January 19, 2009. I want to thank all of you for your encouragement and support. It's been a lot of fun getting to know so many of you. My dream has been to have something more than a shop that sells coffee. We want to be a place where you can feel like we really enjoy your company (even when it's just for a minute through the drive-through window) and getting to know you as a person. Starting my own business has been exciting and a ton of hard work. Out of the 16 hours per day that we are open I'm here at least 13 or more. And I want to thank for your encouragement. Our goal is to give you the best coffee experience possible which includes great espresso and pastries, gift baskets and mugs and also means great service with bargain prices.

Even though gas & milk prices went up, then down, the cost of coffee beans went up (but not down) we are not increasing our prices. We plan to keep our prices the same unless there are drastic price changes in our costs this year. You help us (and thus help yourself) when you tell your friends and family about us. By increasing our customer base we are able to grow and at the same time keep your expenses down. Many of you, when you realized that debit and credit cards cost us money began using cash (each time a card is used we pay a fee). Thanks. But we don't mind you using your card. Some customers have started buying themselves a gift card ($10, $20, $30 or more) with one card swipe. When you do this we keep our cost low and pass the savings on to you.
